Roger Williams

Limestone County Commission, District 2

My name is Roger Williams, and I am working with you to become your next 2nd District Limestone County Commissioner. My wife, Annie, and I are 45-year residents of Northern Alabama. Limestone County has given me two things that I dearly appreciate – wonderful friends and neighbors, and opportunities to serve them.

I have earned my living, and a good one, with my hands and my wits. While doing that, I also represented the people with whom I worked. As a District Committeeman and co-chair of the Civil Rights Committee with the UAW, I worked with both union members and Delphi management to make sure employees were treated fairly and legally. I also served at Snap-on Tools as the Plant Production Manager. I coordinated workers and logistics to ensure plant shipping goals were met and that shipments were correct. I currently work as a transporter for Dealer Auto Auction.

I also serve through my church. I am an usher and am training to use my faith to serve my congregation and my community. I completed a four-year series of courses in ministry and chose prison and nursing ministries as my emphasis. I presently am completing a class on the use of spiritual gifts to serve people. I also participated in two missionary trips to Guatemala, where we helped local congregations build houses.

I am a husband, a father of five children, and a grandfather to ten wonderful young ones. I am, in short, like most of you, and it is you whom I will represent. You, the thousands of citizens of District 2, are the only special interest in whom I am interested. All who seek my support will have to demonstrate how you will benefit from it.
